- EXOTIC BIRD SOCIETY OF AMERICA'S EXPO RULES -

In striving to make our Bird Expo a huge success, the following guidelines have been initiated for the benefit of all concerned:

All items to be exhibited or sold at this Expo must be bird-related. For example: cages, nest boxes, bird food, bird toys, bird crafts, bird jewelry, bird designed clothes, and all types of exotic birds- ABSOLUTELY NO POULTRY, REPTILES OR FOUR-LEGGED ANIMALS WILL BE PERMITTED TO BE SOLD!

EBSOA does not encourage selling unwearned baby birds. However, if you sell an unwearned baby bird, we respectfully ask you to know that your customer is an experienced bird person and is familiar with the hand feeding technique.

NO SMOKING will be permitted in the Bird Expo; this will be strictly enforced

All tables must be covered, if you do not have a cover for your table check at the Vendor check in table and we will give you something to cover it with for a fee of $5.00 per table. If you set up without a cover you are subject to having to remove your items to put one on.

Although EBSOA strives to maintain security during the fair, it will not be responsible for lost or stolen birds or items. EBSOA does not endorse any exhibitor's products or assume responsibility for any transactions. Disagreements arising from items purchased or sold are between the buyer and the seller only. All sales and guarantees are between Buyer and Seller; EBSOA only provides the site for Exchange

If you run an extension cord from another person's space it is your responsible to see that it has a cord guard over it and it is taped down with duct tape. If you do not have a cord guard we will rent you one for a fee of $15.00 and tape it down for you. If you need electricity you may order it in advance when you register for your space for a fee of $15.00 and we will have it ready for you when you get there. If you wait until the day of the Expo to order it there will be a fee of $25.00 due at that time.

Everyone should take precautions against bird escapes. EBSOA strongly urges everyone to clip wings or provide safe cages to prevent escapes. EBSOA will not be responsible for the return of lost birds.

EBSOA reserves the right to prohibit or ask for removal of any bird or birds showing obvious signs for disease or illness, or is caged in an inappropriate or unsanitary housing. All cages must have solid bottoms between the cage and table, open sides for easy viewing, and an appropriate number of birds in each cage so that the birds may perch comfortably on appropriately sized perches. No dirty cages or merchandise, and no unhealthy birds will be allowed. These standards will be strictly enforced. You will have one opportunity to clean up before the show. If you do not pass inspection the second time, your booth will be forfeited and your things must be remove from the premises immediately.

EBSOA reserves the right to have any Vendor removed from the premises at any time due to any disturbance caused by said Vendor. This will be at the discretion of the President of EBSOA and/or our security guard.

Each exhibitor will be responsible for keeping the area around his/her table clean at all times. Sales items must not block the aisle or block fire doors, or interfere with adjacent tables. Decorations, signs, banners, etc. may not be taped, nailed, tacked, stapled, or otherwise fastened to the ceilings, walls, painted surfaces or columns. No glitter, confetti, or similar items may be used on tables or floor.

No holes may be drilled, cored or punched in the building. No door shall be chained. No alcoholic beverages.

All vendors must be checked in by 8:00 am the day of the Expo, at 8:15 am there will be a space check and any space not filled will be up for resale at that time. If a vendor arrives after 8:00 am they will take any space that is available not necessarily the space they booked, unless they have called in advance to let us know they will be late.

No motor vehicles may be parked inside the building without the approval of EBSOA President. Parking in front of doors (except for loading/unloading) is prohibited. Your vehicle must be left at least 15 feet away from any door. Violators will be subject to being towed at their own expense.

[14]

There is hot water available in the mornings to feed the wee ones. There is hot coffee, iced tea, lemonade, bottled water, a verity of soft drinks, something sweet available to snack on and hot dogs for lunch. If you appreciate this service donations are appreciated. There are buckets on the tables to put your donation in.

[15]

Make your reservations early, no reservation is guaranteed until check is received. All vendors are subject to be moved at the discretion of the promoter without prior notice; this will not be done without good cause.

[16]

If you are selling or displaying any Birds at our Expo Bird Fair or what ever you must have a license or permit to possess Class III wildlife for Exhibition or public sale from the State in which you are selling the Birds.

Refunds will be made for cancellations 15 days prior to show. If cancellation notice is received in less than 15 days, refund of full price will be made only if table is resold. Deposit cancellations under 15 days are non refundable. All cancellations made within 48hrs of Expo are non refundable.

ALL VENDORS MUST BE SET UP PRIOR TO THE START OF THE EXPO ON SUNDAY, AT 8:30 AM
